Easter Egg Hunts and Trails in Gloucestershire

With some hopefully sunny weather, there’s nothing quite like an Easter egg hunt or Easter trail to keep the little ones on the move and having some fun. Family Trails in Gloucestershire this Easter
Nature Heroes Family Spring Trail at Westonbirt Arboretum Silk Wood (Tetbury) 7th March – 31st May
Search for the nature superheroes that are emerging in spring at Westonbirt, by embarking on our spring family trail which is all about wildlife around the arboretum.
Rodborough Easter egg hunt (Stroud) 16th – 17th March
Join the Friends of Rodborough school and take a tour of Rodborough, following a trail of amazingly creative giant eggs along the way.
Spring Faery Trail at The Folk of Gloucester (Gloucester) 23rd – 24th March
Enjoy the magical faery fun inside the building & around the Faery Court garden. There will be a Spring Faery Trail around the venue and court gardens too.
Easter trail at Chedworth Roman Villa 23rd March – 1st April
Chedworth’s Easter Trail will be full of Roman-inspired games and activities. Families will begin by creating their own unique mosaic patterns before moving to the Nymphaeum (Water Shrine) to taste water from the natural spring which was the life source of the Villa almost two thousand years ago.
Easter adventure in nature trail at Newark Park (Wootton-Under-Edge) 23rd March – 7th April
Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. There are plenty of opportunities to challenge your family with physical and mental games, as well as adding to the decorations on an Easter tree.
Little Lamb Adventure trail at Gloucester Cathedral (Gloucester) 23rd March – 7th April FREE
Larry the Lamb has lost his friends and needs your help to find them! Discover the history of this beautiful space, while taking part in this fun family-friendly trail this spring!
Cracking Easter fun trail at Birdland (Bourton on the Water) 23rd March – 14th April
As well as daily egg-themed talks and displays, Birdland is expecting some egg-stra special new arrivals across the park. Pick up a quiz trail on arrival and look out for mystery eggs around the park.
Painswick Rococo Gardens Dragon Egg Trail 23rd March – 7th April
The Cotswold Dragon Conservation Society are once again calling for budding dragonologists to help them find the hidden eggs.
Cracked It Easter Egg Hunt at Sudeley Castle (near Winchcombe) 23rd March – 7th April
A brand new Easter Egg Hunt across the castle grounds from 23rd March – 7th April 2024, featuring a dozen brightly painted giant eggs and an incredibly rare Elephant Bird Egg and half price children’s tickets.
Easter Egg hunts at Over Farm (Gloucester) 23rd March – 1st April
There will be hourly Easter egg hunts at Over Farm’s Countryside Adventure Easter Extravaganza event.
Bing’s Nature Explorers trail at Slimbridge Wetland Centre (Bowditch) 23rd March – 1st June
Follow Bing’s Nature Explorers trail to discover fun-filled challenges and amazing wildlife facts. Be sure to pick up a map at the start and collect your sticker once you’ve completed the trail.
Hayles Fruit Farm Easter Trail (Winchcombe) 24th March – 1st April – closed Mon 25th
The Hayles Easter Trail is back for 2024. It’s great value too at £3 per child over two years and they get a sweet treat at the end. There’s no need to book, just turn up between 9am and 4pm for last entry.
Easter treasure hunt at Eastnor Castle (Ledbury) 24th March – 4th April
Enjoy a mEGGastars Easter Treasure Hunt as Eastnor Castle celebrate their 200th birthday! A chocolate treat for everyone who takes part!
Cleve Common Easter Trail (Bishops Cleeve) 29th March
Come explore Cleeve Common and earn yourself a treat on the Easter trail. As a family follow the trail of clues on a circular approx. 1 mile walk around the Common. Answer all the questions to find your way back and collect your prize!
Easter Bunny Hunt at Berkeley Castle 29th March – 1st April
The baby bunnies are hiding from Mrs Rabbit, and she needs your help to find them! Collect all the bunnies’ names and win a delicious chocolate egg.
