Great Barn Festival 2024

The Great Barn Festival is a family friendly event celebrating the best of music, theatre, art, and nature in an ancient rural setting.
Set in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, the Great Barn was built over 700 years ago.
In order to keep costs down and make the Festival accessible to everyone, there are a number of ticket options. You can buy a Gate Pass and enjoy a whole day of entertainment for just £10 on Saturday (10.00am until 9.00pm) A Gate Pass for Friday evening (5.00pm – 9.00pm) or Sunday evening (5.00pm until 10.00pm) costs just £6
Separately Ticketed Performances – Family Friendly Highlights
As well as everything that is included in your Gate Pass, there are also a number of select, separately ticked performances and Workshops at the Great Barn Festival. Should you want to enjoy a performance in the Barn itself, these can be purchased separately and automatically include your Gate Pass.
Robin Hood
A classic tale of the legendary heroic outlaw Robin Hood is bought to life in a production that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
Set in the mighty forest of Sherwood, join Robin and his band of merry men in a battle of wits against the dreaded Sheriff of Nottingham.
Three actors pull a whole show out of a suitcase and lead you on a madcap dash through a classic tale. There will be songs, there will be puppets, there will be horses.
Suitable for all ages. Running time 55 minutes
The Tempest
There is no better way to appreciate Shakespeare’s work than through a live performance.
Set on a mysterious island in the middle of nowhere, The Tempest is a fantastical tale of magic, a powerful sprite called Ariel, a strange wildman called Caliban, murder, romance, greed but above all its really funny!
Using mainly modern English, this interactive family show fully encourages audience participation and provides a great introduction to the inventiveness and humour of Shakespeare.

The Three Inch Fools present The Secret Diary of Henry VIII
The Three Inch Fools present an essential guide on how to keep your head in the Tudor Court. Unexpectedly thrust into the limelight, young Henry navigates the ups and downs of courtly life, and all whilst fighting the French (again) and re-writing religion. The Fools hit the road with this brand new comedy – a mad-capped take on Britain’s most epic monarch, and those infamous wives.
Bring your own cushions, and camping-chairs and join us on our outdoor adventure. This is an outdoor production, however in the event of bad weather, the play will be moved into the Barn
The performance will last approximately 100 minutes (+ a 20 minute interval).
Picnics are welcome but a full bar and food stalls will be available.
Live music will be available after the performance and included in the price of your ticket.
