Marlow Christmas lights switch on will take place on Thursday 23rd November 2023.

Robert Thorogood, the screenwriter and novelist, will flick the switch to illuminate Marlow town centre with its stunning Christmas lights display on Thursday, 23^rd November.

Local resident Robert is the creator of the BBC One murder mystery series Death in Paradise and has written two best-selling Marlow-based novels, The Marlow Murder Club and Death in Marlow.

Marlow’s Christmas lights display has become a popular draw for visitors, bringing many people into the town to shop and enjoy the coffee shops, bars and restaurants in and around the High Street.

What time are the Marlow Christmas Lights Switch On?

Robert will perform the ceremony at 6.30 pm from an open-top bus outside the Chequers pub in Marlow High Street. ‘Snow’ will fall from 6.00 pm as people gather to listen to carols and festive music, and stilt walkers, themed in red and white, will strut the streets as Mother Christmas, a giant candy cane, Nutcracker soldiers and a snow queen.
