Escape to the wild, and celebrate the creatures living in our woodland at this month’s Science Oxford Nature Club for 5 to 9 year olds!

Investigate animals and their habitats, plants and pollinators outside in our meadow. Go sweeping with bug nets to count and identify amazing mini-beasts. Dissect flowers, play Plant Bingo, and find out what insects actually do when they visit and pollinate blooms. Get creative with the National ‘Wild Escape’ project! Draw a 4 panel comic and tell the story of one creature’s escape to the wild, with a fun activity sheet to take home.

The Wild Escape is a National project led by Art Fund in celebration of UK wildlife and creativity. Launched on Earth Day 2023, the project aims to engage children and families in collaboration with museums and Discovery Centres until the end of July 2023. Inspired by Wild Isles, the landmark BBC series exploring the flora and fauna of the UK.
