Manley Mere Adventure Trail is located near Frodsham and perfect for a fun day outdoor out with the kids in Cheshire. Thanks to local mum Helen for sharing her review.
The trail is excellent with a combination of balance, climbing and swinging obstacles. Bridges run over rivers, tunnels through hills, hamster wheels, slides and zip lines. But best of all mud. Lots of mud and muddy water.
We dressed the kids in old clothes and shoes and just binned the lot at the end. (I wouldn’t wear wellies, too slippery and they’d just fill up with water).
We went with a small four year old and a tall six year old. The youngest was not big enough for some of the challenging balance activities but there was plenty he could do either independently or with assistance. The six year old managed it all independently. Including a swim in the mud lake. There’s a hose at the end to get the worst of the mud off, or you could have a dip in the reservoir to clean off.
There was a kiosk open selling hot drinks and ice creams. You can have these on the banks of the reservoir whilst watching people participating in water sports and a giant inflatable obstacle course on the reservoir. All in all we have a great day, adults and kids both. The kids were so engaged there wasn’t a single moan for snacks and food!!
