Small & Friendly
Welcoming children aged 2 to 4 years, the pre-school is a small and friendly setting where children thrive. They are able to follow their own ideas and are supported by an adult who can enable their learning by respecting, understanding and allowing children empowerment over their environment. They celebrate a child’s uniqueness and encourage respect and social interaction.
Nature Loving & Eco Friendly
Stonesfield Pre-school don’t just talk about being eco friendly but have made big changes to put that into practice. They no longer use disposable plastic items such as straws or glitter and have moved to eco friendly cleaning products.
This nature friendly pre-school also incorporate the focus into activities too. At their last Christmas party they used all natural resources; making paper crowns and decorating from found leaves or flowers and using natural finds to make reindeer food in paper bags.
Outdoor Play
Stonesfield Pre-school make full use of their outdoor space for stimulating activities as well as having access to the primary school grounds.
Getting closer to nature, children have the chance to explore with forest school sessions. The Woodland Wanderers is a popular activity.
Situated opposite Stonesfield Primary School, the pre-school has the advantage of being able to regularly make use of the school grounds. Groups of the pre-school children are often taken over to explore the adventure playground or participate in activities on the school fields.
Connecting with the Community
Connecting with the wider community through the Lunch Club, preschoolers are able to develop meaningful relationships with the older generation. Intergenerational activities have a wide range of recognised benefits to both youths and seniors.
Stonesfield Pre-School Sessions
Stonesfield Pre-School is open during the regular school term and in general the term dates are aligned with Stonesfield Primary School. Full day, morning and afternoon sessions are available.
Full Day Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm
Morning Sessions Monday to Friday 9am – 12pm
Afternoon Sessions Monday to Friday 12pm – 3pm
15 and 30 hour funding available
Wrap Around Care
Stonesfield Pre-School is committed to helping families in the local community by providing wrap around care for children aged 3-11 years. Offering breakfast club, after school club and holiday club with drop off and collection from Stonesfield Primary School.
Breakfast Club (3-11 years) 8.00- 8.50 am
After School Club (3-11 years) 3.15 -6.00 pm
