There are lots of pumpkin, scarecrow, Autumn and Halloween trails going over over half term. Most of them are low cost and many raise money to support local charities. Best of all they get us out the house with a little added extra fun.

Wanda The Witch Trail – an all outdoor Halloween trail around central Poynton – simply visit the Civic Hall in Poynton to get your trail sheets. Sheets are £1 with funds going to Vernon Primary School.

Moorlands Autumn Trail – Your mission should you choose to accept it is to unlock a sarcophagus that has been buried in Priority Gardens for the last 100 years. Starting at Moorlands Junior School in Sale, follow the clues which will take you on a short walk around Sale Moor and learn lots of interesting facts along the way. Wythenshaw Park Spooky Trail – taking place in the Hall Gardens. You can visit the Courtyard Café for a spooky trail pack, that can be picked up free of charge or you can simply the website www.wythenshaw park.org.uk and download and print the instructions, clues and a map and a completion certificate. The trail Starts on the 26th October to 31st October.

Macclesfield Spooky Halloween – simply visit Macclesfied Market Place on Saturday 28th October There will be some life size wandering pumpkins, a pumpkin trail around the Town Centre, a spooky café, a pre carved pumpkin competition and a prize for the best Halloween outfit.
