After an indoor family fun activity which you don’t have to pre book ages in advance? Then Treetop Adventure Golf is the perfect place.
Set within The Printworks in central Manchester. Its easy to get to by train or there is plenty of nearby options to park. We parked at the Arndale Carpark (M4 1AZ) which was £6.30 for all day (March 2023).
With two 18-hole indoor mini golf courses to choose from, you can take on the “Tropical Trail” and work your way through the jungle, dodging stalagmites, with toucans and a single frog. Or brave the ruins of the Ancient Explorer, with its crumbling temples, ancient mask statues, and even meet the queen monkey.
Whichever route you choose, don’t forget to challenge the monkey gods on the Bonus 19th hole to try and win a free game.
We chose “Ancient Exploras”. It took us about 45mins to play the 18 holes. As we went on a Sunday morning it was nice and quiet so we didn’t have anyone behind us so we could relax and take our time.
Each hole is mainly just a green grass putting green with humps and bumps to avoid before getting your ball into the hole. A few holes you had to get your ball into a mouth of a statue which was great fun and when you were successful the statue came alive and spoke. The girls really enjoyed this feature and one we hadn’t seen anywhere else.
The sounds effects, music and noises along the course, with the visual displays like the statues, plants and waterfall the place is an impressively set up.
A few of the putting greens could have been a little more challenging or interesting but overall the course was great and we enjoyed our game.
If your little ones prefer less noise they amazingly run a “Quiet Sessions” on the second Sunday of every month 9-11am where the squawking birds are turned off and the music is set to low.
After our game we headed to the Restaurant. This is right next to the courses and serves tasty jungle grub from Pizza Cabana, tropical cocktails and mocktails from The Thirsty Toucan, or enjoy cracking coffee from the Rainforest Roast Café. I will cover the food and drink in its own review as so much to say.
