As a family we are big fans of Wythenshawe park but have you ever been to the onsite community farm?
The farm is a registered charity and was set up in 1984, it’s open every day between April and October from 11.30 to 4pm and November to March with reduced hours closing an hour earlier.
The farm is free for all to enter but there’s a lovely shop onsite selling produce from the farm including meat and vegetables – and visitors are welcome to buy produce or donate towards the upkeep of the amazing community farm!
My little girl absolutely loved getting up close with the pony and the wonderful staff on site even let her help to feed and brush down the pony.
Wythenshawe Park Farm is located opposite the car park next to the children’s play area. What animals are on site depends on the time of year if they are in the fields but there’s always cows, pigs, chickens and the gorgeous pony which you can visit.
If you are heading down to Wythenshawe park- make sure to go to the farm and make sure you check out the walled garden to meet the pony.
